The Zutons

The Zutons were an English indie rock band from Liverpool formed in 2001. They are best known for their 2006 single “Valerie” from the album Tired of Hanging Around; the song was later covered by Mark Ronson with Amy Winehouse and reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in 2007. The band’s guitar-driven melodies, saxophone lines and straightforward chord progressions translate nicely to the ukulele, making songs like “Valerie” fun to play.
