The Youngbloods were an American folk-rock band formed in the mid-1960s and led by singer Jesse Colin Young. Their gentle harmonies and acoustic arrangements produced the 1967 single “Get Together” (also known as “Let’s Get Together”), which became an anthem of the peace movement and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1969. The song’s simple, uplifting chord progression makes it perfect for ukulele, and other tracks like “Darkness, Darkness” and “Sunlight” adapt equally well for fun sing-alongs.
